The CFII candidate will:

The CFII candidate’s performance will be evaluated against PTS Task CFII.I.F standards. The lesson is complete when the candidate:

- At least five specific techniques for emphasizing positive aspects during instrument training
- Clear distinction between formative evaluation (ongoing assessment) and summative evaluation (phase checks, stage checks)
- Complete endorsement requirements per AC 61-65H for instrument practical test, IPC, and checkride failure retest

The completion standard for this FOI task requires the CFII candidate demonstrate they can teach the concepts, not merely recite them.
