Objective

The CFI candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach slope operations by explaining the elements, factors, and techniques involved while demonstrating proper slope approach, touchdown, and departure procedures. Upon completion, the CFI candidate will be able to identify suitable slopes, explain dynamic rollover prevention, demonstrate proper control technique throughout all phases, and analyze common errors associated with slope operations per ACS task HI.VIII.E.

Slope operations involve landing on or taking off from sloping terrain where one skid or wheel contacts the surface before the other. This advanced maneuver requires precise control coordination and thorough understanding of helicopter limitations.
